Joshua Tree National Park Proposal

This Joshua Tree National Park proposal for Olivia and Garrett was truly the sweetest! These two came from Ohio for a romantic California Desert getaway and little did Olivia know that Garrett would be asking her to marry him on this trip! There's something so magical about Joshua Tree... from it's serene environment to its iconic rock formations nestled within the Joshua Tree.

If you're thinking about proposing in Joshua Tree like Garrett did, here are some tips to help make the most out of your desert engagement:

1. Choose a scenic location with privacy. Some favorites of mine are Hemingway, Cap Rock or Key's View (though during busier months, Cap Rock and Key's can be a bit more crowded).

2. Prepare for desert weather. Garrett chose a cooler cloudy February evening, and the weather was cooler but as you move into the summer months in Joshua Tree, the desert can become very warm. Stay safe, and come prepared!

3. I would recommend planning your proposal for golden hour/sunset or sunrise! The way the desert comes alive in the sunshine is truly remarkable.

4. Consider hiring a Joshua Tree Photographer, like myself, to document your proposal!
